Six services. One crew. Quote, job, invoice — in that order.
We do tree work that the homeowner can stand back and feel good about. No upselling, no "starting at" pricing, no surprise stump fee at the end. The arborist who quotes the job is the one who runs it on the day.
Tree removal
Whole-tree removal from access assessment to debris haul. Permits sorted. Stump optional.
Tree lopping
Crown reductions, deadwood cleans, hazard pruning. Half the price of removal, keeps the tree alive.

Arborist reports
AQF-qualified site assessments, tree health reports, council permit applications, pre-purchase reports.
Emergency tree removal
Storm damage, tree on house, tree across driveway. Crew dispatched within 60 minutes within metro.
Cost guide
What tree removal actually costs in Australia in 2026. By size, species, access, city.
What city are you in?
Council rules and tree species change every state line. Start with your city and we'll point you at the right page.
Free tools we built because the rest of the trade doesn't bother
The first thing most homeowners want isn't a quote — it's an answer. Is the tree dying? Do I need a permit? What's it likely to cost? We built seven tools for that. All free, no email gate, no chat bot.

Three steps. Quote, job, invoice. In that order.
-
Free site visit, written quote in 48 hours
You call or send a message with the address. We turn up, look at the tree (and what's around it), and email a flat all-in number. Includes stump if you want it. Permits flagged if needed. No call-out fee, no obligation.
-
Job day — same crew, same quote
The arborist who quoted is the one who climbs. Two-person ground crew, certified rigging, traffic plan if it's near a road. We don't sub the work.
-
Site cleared, invoice on the same number
Debris off-site, mulch left on request, stump ground or scheduled. Photos before/after on the invoice. Card or transfer.
Cheap quote, expensive outcome. The recurring problem.
Most calls we get are second-quote calls. The first quote came in low and excluded the stump, the debris, or the cherry-picker. Or it came from a "mate with a chainsaw" who can do it for $300 cash and is uninsured.
We've quoted against the cousin-with-a-chainsaw for fifteen years. Sometimes the cousin gets the job and the homeowner saves $400. Sometimes the cousin clips a neighbour's wall on the way down and the homeowner is on the hook for $47,000 because there's no public liability behind the cousin's name. The maths only ever runs one way.
We're not always the cheapest. We're the cheapest outcome, which is a different number. The cost guide breaks it down honestly.
When you don't need us
Half the calls we get could've been handled differently. The honest list:
- If a powerline is within 3m of the tree, call your network operator (Energex, Ausgrid, PowerCor, Evoenergy, SA Power Networks). They send a crew for free.
- If it's a single branch you can reach with a step ladder, do it yourself. Saves you our $350 minimum.
- If the tree's healthy and just dropping leaves, that's what trees do. Pruning won't change it. Check the symptom guide first.
- If the tree's on the neighbour's side of the fence, talk to them first. We can't legally touch it without their permission.
- If you've got a heritage gum that's been there 90 years and the council won't approve removal, leave it. Check the permit directory before you waste a quote.
Frequently asked
How much does tree removal cost in Australia?
It depends on three things: tree height, species, and access. Small trees (under 5m) typically run $350–$900. Large trees (10–15m) typically run $1,500–$3,500. Very large hardwoods over 20m can run $5,000–$12,000 if a crane is needed. The cost calculator gives you a 30-second estimate by tree size and species.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No. Site visits and written quotes are free. The number on the quote is the number on the invoice unless something genuinely unforeseeable comes up on the day (which is rare with proper site assessment).
Are you insured?
Yes — public liability and workers compensation insurance as required by state. Certificate of currency available on request before work starts.
Do I need a council permit to remove a tree?
It depends on the council and the tree. Native gums over 6m, heritage-listed trees, and trees in a Significant Tree Register or Vegetation Protection Order area almost always need one. Five minutes on your council's website tells you. Or use the directory we built.
Can you remove a tree on my neighbour's property?
Not without the neighbour's written permission. If branches are overhanging your property line, you can prune them back to the boundary at your own cost. We can do that work, but we still need your neighbour to know it's happening.
Do you handle emergencies?
Yes. Crew dispatched within 60 minutes within our metro service areas during business hours, longer after-hours. SMS 0402 522 434 with a photo. Read the storm checklist first if a tree's just come down.
